Who are we?

With our association, we have created an environment for Chinese expatriates in which they can exchange ideas and at the same time introduce their children to Chinese culture and language.

We are convinced that this will help in the development of a cultural identity, as it provides regular opportunities to speak one's own mother tongue, thus deepening one's language skills and strengthening cultural identity to promote successful integration.

We also want to raise awareness about the cultural differences between China and Germany and thus reduce the potential for misunderstandings.
Therefore, we try to convey the values of German and Chinese culture and highlight differences in workshops.

What do we do?

Every Saturday, we offer language courses and cultural workshops for children and young people ages three to 16, with or without prior knowledge. In the language courses, children learn words, characters, Pinyin transcription, and correct pronunciation. In the workshops, children can try out various Chinese arts, such as calligraphy or the tea ceremony.

We also offer joint excursions, for example to museums or into nature.

The children are taught by native speakers with a pedagogical background.

Our growing team consists largely of native Chinese speakers.

Mission | Philosophy

This allows members of different cultural areas to maintain their own languages and cultures while building and maintaining a strong identity based on their intercultural roots and thus ultimately finding their personal role in society.

We hope that by learning the Chinese and German language and culture as well as through the exchange of cultural experiences, we can strengthen the understanding between these two cultures, reduce misunderstandings, increase intercultural competence and thus create a more tolerant, understanding and harmonious society.
